ThirdEye’s MR Glasses

ThirdEye, a mixed reality product development company, announced their first consumer mixed reality glasses – the Razor MR Glasses. Users can take advantage of existing ThirdEye software, such as RemoteEye, which is a real-time MR assistance application. Foldable and lightweight at 85 grams and 8 hour battery life.

Ready Player Me

Ready Player Me is an Avatar platform for the Metaverse that allows users to keep a consistent identity among the many virtual worlds. The website describes it as “your passport to the Metaverse”. According to the site, it’s currently available for 1030+ apps. The company announced a Series A funding round of USD $13 million to expand its team across the globe.

Vuzix and Verizon

 In early 2019, Vuzix released its first pair of consumer-ready smartglasses. Now, they’ve made an agreement with Verizon. “We’re excited to further our relationship with Verizon to leverage Verizon’s 5G Ultra Wideband network and our award winning Vuzix Shield smart glasses to deliver new cutting-edge augmented reality experiences to sports and games,” said Paul Travers, President and Chief Executive Officer at Vuzix. 

bHaptics New Glove

bHaptics, a Korean company which provides haptic solutions that have compatibility with more than 100 virtual reality (VR) apps, has unveiled their latest consumer-ready product, the TactGlove.

Each finger of the TactGlove has a linear resonant actuator (LRA), to give users the sensation of touch when feeling or picking stuff up in VR.

This isn’t the first wearable product from bHaptics. They’re also the maker of the TactSuit haptic vest. From that experience, they’ve designed the TactGlove to work with camera-based hand tracking systems. The inner glove is machine-washable, comes in 3 sizes, and the full glove has 4 hours of battery life.
